Differences between an E-Title and an ELT:
- An “E-Title” is a clear title and exists in an electronic form.
- An “ELT” is a title that exists in an electronic form with a lien.
Beginning January 1st, 2013, under s. 319.27 and s. 328.15 of the Florida Statute, an Electronic Lien and Title (ELT) process will become mandatory for Buy‐Here, Pay‐Here dealers, finance companies, or any entity that finances vehicles or vessels.
